केंद्राच्या कृषी कायद्याविरोधात सुरु असलेल्या आंदोलनाच्या पार्श्वभूमीवर अमेरिकेची जगविख्यात गायिका रिहान्ना (Rihanna) हिने ट्विट करत भारतासह आंतरराष्ट्रीयस्तरावरील अनेक कलावंताना प्रश्न केला. तिच्या या ट्विटमुळे बॉलीवूडमधील अनेक नामवंत अभिनेते, अभिनेत्री आणि चित्रपट निर्माते, गायकांनी कॉल फॉर युनिटीचा नारा देत केंद्र सरकारवर विश्वास दाखविला. तर केंद्र सरकारने चक्क ट्विटरला नोटीस बजावत प्रश्न उपस्थित करणारे ट्विट तात्काळ बंद करावेत असे बजावले.
रिहान्नाच्या ट्विटमुळे बॉलीवूडमधील प्रसिध्द निर्माता दिग्दर्शक करण जोहर, एकता कपूर अभिनेता अक्षय कुमार, अजय देवगण, सुनिल शेट्टी आणि गायक कैलाश खेर यांनी केंद्र सरकारवर विश्वास दाखवत खोटी माहिती प्रसारीत करणाऱ्यांपासून दूर राहण्याचे आवाहन ट्विट करत केले.
तर दुसऱ्याबाजूला केंद्र सरकारच्या परराष्ट्र मंत्रालयाने एक खुलासा करण्यात आला असून ट्विटरच्या माध्यमातून काहीजण भारताची प्रतिमा आंतरराष्ट्रीयस्तरावर मलिन करण्याचा प्रयत्न करत आहेत. तर शेतकरी आंदोलनाच्या नावाखाली परेदशातील फुटीरवादी संघटनांची मदत घेवू पहात आहेत. अशा व्यक्तीचे ट्विटर खाते तात्काळ बंद करावेत असे आवाहन करत सरकारच्या म्हणण्यानुसार कारवाई न केल्यास ट्विटरला कारवाई करण्यात येईल असा इशाराही केंद्राने दिला.
