धार्मिकस्थळे, देवस्थाने उघडण्याची काँग्रेसची मागणी मुंबई काँग्रेसचे उपाध्यक्ष अमरजित सिंह मनहास यांनी लिहिले पत्र

कोरोना विषाणूच्या वाढत्या प्रादुर्भावामुळे अनेक नागरिक हे मानसिकरित्या खचत चालले आहेत. तर अनेकजण निराशावादी बनत चालले असल्याने नागरिकांना मुंबईतील देवस्थाने आणि धार्मिकस्थळे उघडावीत अशी मागणी मुंबई काँग्रेसचे उपाध्यक्ष डॉ.अमरजित मनहास यांनी एका पत्राद्वारे राज्याचे मुख्यमंत्री उध्दव ठाकरे यांच्याकडे केली.
देशातील पश्चिम बंगाल, पंजाब, कर्नाटक आदी राज्यांमध्ये नागरिकांमध्ये जगण्याची नवी उमेद निर्माण व्हावी यासाठी तेथील देवस्थाने आणि धार्मिक स्थळे खुली करण्यात आली आहेत. तसेच त्यासाठी या ठिकाणी कडक नियमावलीही लागू करण्यात आली असल्याचे त्यांनी निदर्शनास आणून दिले.
या देवस्थान, धार्मिकस्थळांना तेथील लाईटची बिले, पाण्याची बिले भरावी लागतात. मात्र मागील तीन महिन्यापासून हि स्थळे बंद असल्याने त्यांना हि बीले कशी भरायची असा प्रश्न निर्माण होण्याची शक्यता आहे. तसेच सर्व ठिकाणी दानशूरांकडून दानही करण्यात येते. या दानधर्मातून जमा झालेला पैसा याच धार्मिकस्थळांकडून पुन्हा नागरिकांसाठी खर्च करण्यात येतो. त्यामुळे या सर्वांना परवानगी द्यावी अशी मागणी त्यांनी केली.

Sir,
AS you are aware that many people have been passing through depression & hopelessness due to the Pandemic Covid 19 and its impact on human life which has resulted in large number of unnatural death in Mumbai recently.
Therefore, I request you to open up places of Worship with all the required precautions so that citizens can share their heartfelt pain to their Creator and seek help from the Almighty to come out of this depression and calamity.
Certainly, this will give them a new ray of hope to fight the battle against Covid and survive in these difficult times.
Many States such as West Bengal, Punjab, Karnataka etc. have already reopened places of worship with strict guidelines and social distancing.
Apart from this most of the places of worship manage their expenses such as staff salary, electricity bills, water charges, property tax on public donations donated by devotees and there is litreally no donations for these places of worship for the past few months and it may be difficult for these places of worship by every passing day to manage the expenses.
Hence, I request you to kindly consider the request and reopen the places in the State specially in Mumbai.
